The heart of our production is wood, and it is important to us that it comes from sustainable forestry. We work closely with sawmills in the region, such as Austria, Croatia and Slovenia. They offer ideal conditions for the raw material that we use for our products.
For historical reasons, spruce monocultures were predominantly planted for the lumber industry. Spruce wood grows quickly and is therefore ideal for construction, but less suitable for furniture or other durable hardwood products.
There are therefore few deciduous forests in this country that can be used to produce wood such as oak or beech. Many people think that oak wood comes mainly from Germany, but that is a misconception. Our forests are simply not designed to produce large quantities of oak wood.

Deciduous forests in Croatia and Slovenia
In contrast, countries such as Croatia and Slovenia are rich in oak wood. They are perfect for the extraction of hardwood. The long-standing tradition of forestry in these countries ensures that the wood is not only obtained in the highest quality, but is also responsibly reforested. Forestry there is designed to only take as much wood from nature as can grow back.
Sustainability and long-term thinking
Wood is a raw material that takes time. If we plant a tree today, only the third generation will benefit. That is why it is crucial that forestry works sustainably so that there will be enough wood available in the future. The wood industry is well positioned in countries such as Austria, Croatia and Slovenia. It is supported by responsible forestry, where reforestation takes place on a regular basis.
We ensure that our suppliers have the FSC certificate. This guarantees that the wood comes from forests that are managed in an environmentally friendly and economically viable manner.
This allows us to ensure that our wood is not only of the highest quality, but also produced with a clear conscience. Our wood comes from regions that have a long tradition of wood processing and where sustainability is not just a promise, but a lived reality.
So when you buy a product from us, you know exactly where the wood comes from and that it was sourced responsibly – for a sustainable future.
